All refund requests are subject to the specific terms set by individual event organizers, as well as our platform-wide policies outlined below. Refund eligibility and amounts may vary depending on the event type, timing of cancellation, and organizer-specific policies.

2. Cancellation Timeline & Refund Rates

Standard Refund Schedule:

Conferences & Workshops

Sports Events

Food & Dining Events

  • • 48-hour minimum cancellation required
  • • Ingredient costs affect refund amounts

4. How to Request a Refund

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Login to Your Account: Access your Amev account and navigate to "My Bookings"
  2. Select Event: Choose the event you wish to cancel from your booking history
  3. Request Cancellation: Click "Request Refund" and select your reason for cancellation
  4. Provide Details: Fill out the cancellation form with required information
  5. Submit Request: Review and submit your refund request for processing
  6. Confirmation: Receive email confirmation with reference number and expected timeline

5. Refund Processing Timeline

Request Review: 2-3 Business Days

Our team reviews your cancellation request and verifies eligibility

Approval & Processing: 3-5 Business Days

Once approved, refund is processed to your original payment method

Bank Credit: 5-7 Business Days

Time for refund to reflect in your bank account (varies by bank)

Total Timeline: 10-15 business days from request submission to account credit

6. Non-Refundable Items & Fees

The following are non-refundable:

  • Convenience fees and service charges (typically 2-5% of ticket price)
  • Payment gateway charges and transaction fees
  • Tickets for events marked as "No Refund" by organizers
  • Promotional or discounted tickets (unless specified otherwise)
  • VIP packages and exclusive access passes
  • Add-on services like parking, merchandise, or food packages

7. Special Circumstances & Exceptions

Event Cancellation by Organizer

If an event is cancelled by the organizer, attendees are eligible for a full refund including all fees and charges. Refunds will be processed automatically within 7-10 business days.

Medical Emergencies

In case of medical emergencies preventing attendance, full refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Required documentation includes:

  • • Hospital admission records (if applicable)
  • • Written application explaining the situation

Natural Disasters & Force Majeure

Events cancelled due to natural disasters, government restrictions, or other force majeure events will be eligible for full refunds or rescheduling options as per organizer policies.

Technical Issues

If technical problems on our platform prevent you from attending or accessing a virtual event, we will provide appropriate remedies including refunds or alternative access methods.

8. Ticket Transfer & Resale Policy

Alternative to Cancellation:

Before requesting a refund, consider transferring your ticket to someone else or listing it for resale on our platform.

Ticket Transfer

  • • Free name changes up to 72 hours before event
  • • Transferee must provide valid ID
  • • Limited to one transfer per ticket

Resale Platform

  • • List tickets at face value or below
  • • 5% platform fee applies
  • • Secure payment processing

9. Dispute Resolution & Appeals

If you disagree with our refund decision, you can appeal within 15 days of the initial decision. Appeals should be submitted through your account dashboard with additional supporting documentation.
